What you'll be doing

As a customer-obsessed Business Partnerships Lead with a strong background in the corporate events or hospitality sector, you will be at the forefront of expanding our VenueScanner for Business corporate client base. You will take ownership of proactively generating new business opportunities through partnerships, strategic networking and targeted lead generation initiatives. This will involve identifying and securing new partnership agreements, as well as booking introductory calls and in-person meetings with key decision-makers such as PAs/EAs, Office Managers, HR teams, and Event Managers, as well as Finance and Procurement teams. You will expertly pitch the value of VenueScanner for Business to win their annual portfolio of events, both in the UK and internationally.

You will manage the full event lifecycle, from initial client brief qualification and comprehensive venue research (utilising the VenueScanner platform and off-platform resources) to crafting compelling proposals, coordinating site visits, and navigating contract negotiations to successful booking. Beyond venue sourcing, you will act as a trusted advisor, assisting our corporate customers with a wide spectrum of event needs through our established supplier network for event management, F&B, entertainment, team activities, and more.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategically build and expand your personal book of business by proactively identifying and cultivating new opportunities through your network and targeted lead generation activities

  • Drive new business acquisition by generating new partnership agreements and securing introductory calls and in-person meetings with key decision-makers across our ideal customer profiles (PAs/EAs, Office Managers, HR teams, and Event Managers)

  • Master the art of pitching VenueScanner for Business, effectively articulating our value proposition to win their annual portfolio of corporate events

  • Embrace a "test and learn" mindset, rapidly iterating on your outreach strategies and sales techniques to continuously improve performance and maximise results

  • Maximise revenue and growth by proactively identifying and capitalising on opportunities for repeat business, account expansion, and upselling within your existing client base

  • End-to-end Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage your entire event cycle, from initial lead qualification and venue sourcing to proposal creation, site visit coordination, and successful booking and contract negotiation.

  • Expert Venue Sourcing: Leverage the VenueScanner platform and off-platform resources to identify and present optimal venue recommendations that meet and exceed customer event requirements.

  • Comprehensive Event Support: Enhance customer satisfaction and drive further opportunities by assisting with a wide range of event needs through our established supplier partnerships (F&B, entertainment, team activities, etc)

  • Become a Product Champion: Play a crucial role in the evolution of VenueScanner for Business by actively gathering and sharing valuable customer feedback and insights to inform product development and strategic direction.

Job requirements

Who you are

  • A passion for events either with venue finding / venue sourcing experience or having worked in the events industry planning corporate events for 8+ years (events based degree a plus)

  • Ability to manage upwards giving impactful feedback on product and process to shape the future scope of the VenueScanner for Business product

  • Great understanding of venue fit, able to anticipate clients needs

  • Self motivated, proactive and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in

  • Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner

  • Passionate about building relationships and working in a team

  • Fast and efficient, you love being organised and delivering at pace

  • Excellent presentation building skills and able to pull together proposals with a strong attention to detail

  • You enjoy having consultative conversations to identify opportunities for growth within your customer base
